New GPU & Features

Reports suggest that Google may use the Imagination DXT-48-1536 GPU, which supports scalable ray tracing, RISC-V firmware, and 2D dual-rate texturing. This GPU is designed for premium smartphones and offers improved ray-traced effects using its ray acceleration cluster (RAC). The Fragment Shading Rate (FSR) technology helps boost graphics performance without sacrificing visual quality. Additionally, the new GPU provides 50% more compute and texture performance per SPU than previous models.

Tensor G5 SoC & Performance

Past leaks indicate that the Tensor G5 will come with upgrades to always-on compute (AoC), Google’s Emerald Hill memory coprocessor, GXP (DSP), and EdgeTPU. Unlike its predecessor, the Tensor G5 is expected to be fabricated on TSMC’s 3nm process, offering better efficiency and performance compared to the Samsung-made Tensor G4.

The Pixel 10 series could bring a major leap in gaming and AI-powered tasks, making it a significant upgrade over the Pixel 9 lineup.
